TEASE: I doubt there was any malice in it sky people just do what theyre used to Ive dated a black girl and slept with a few so it would be easy for me to do it again
urbuddy just meant its not something he is used to so is more comfortable sticking with what he knows
Neither did I treat it too seriously Tease. I made a light hearted comment wondering how any man could turn down Halle Berry.
bodleing: Just posted this in the intl forum...seems perhaps pertinent to this thread also.
What is Race?
What is Race? When some people use the “race” they attach a biological meaning, still others use “race” as a socially constructed concept. It is clear that even though race does not have a biological meaning, it does have a social meaning which has been legally constructed.
In this case = Race classification of humans.......... and i was asking in regards to dating ............ i had no other motive in posting this thread other than to see if thought the same as the people on Match.Com
as snowlynx said..id date from my own race..the human race..
but personally..i always assumed my preference is an irish man i do like the ease of someone raised in the same enviroment as me...saying that i have dated outside my race and i found culture and language barriers were not my thing..
then my sister married a jamaican guy...and over the last 7 years ive grown to love that dude like a brother..(no pun intended) and it turns out my assumption was prob wrong..and if someone is right for u and theres a spark from the start then...its possible..i think the ignorance of other cultures does indeed stifle the initial spark.
but there is always gonna be a variation of our own race u just simply dont find attractive..whether it be culturally or physically...tis quite normal id imagine.
Ok....for me it's this simple, i wouldn't go out with a white person i wasn't attracted to, i wouldn't go out with a black person i wasn't attracted to, i wouldn't go out with any race i wasn't attracted to....it's all to do with preference.
I wouldn't go out with a traveller woman because their accent would drive me INSANE!!!

Envy51: So if i said..... "I dislike A.N/OTHER because he has black skin" that is ok....................................... ?
Why would you dislike someone because of the colour of their skin ?
If someone said that I would have serious reservations about their mindset. If someone said I was not attracted to someone because they have orang/black/yellow skin I would see it as their preference and therein lies the difference for me.
fifitheminx: ur hardly dispelling the " they all ride them sideways in a hiace" myth tho lol
na theres exceptions to all rules...hence why labelling and boxing off people is futile..u just never know when ull meet the one who is diff and shocks the knickers off ya......in da hiace
Envy51: Good for you and them ! ...................... still does not mean i want to go with one !!!! and where did i say anything in my post about caravans and boxing the heads off each other
you said "everything about their way of life is Alien to me" what exactly is their way of life then? Is this all based on a stereotype?
