lets forget about the past misdeeds and forget the islamic versus west rant coz no one is a divine soul here in toto. a lot of bad things are done in combat, some good, some not-so-good and some downright horrible but there are something which a trained force is not supposed to do as its the training and professionalism that sets apart a professional force from a ill trained rabble. we are no one to set judgement upon what us happening there but surely some bad deeds have to be condemned otherwise what would be the difference between trained, professional troops and rabble like the taliban? my friend from bangladesh who keeps ranting forgets that a few years ago a stupid picture had appeared wherein the BDR had hung a dead BSF soldier from sticks like a dead animal showing no respect to a soldier killed in unprovoked firing.so iguess its just a case of pot calling kettle black . what we need to remember is that war drains us of our sensibilities and spells death and misery to so many people.
what we need to do is just condemn such isolated events and hope that such acts are not repeated again as they bring a bad name to the organization to which the offenders belong. always remember war is a dirty business !

maxmate1: There is still hope for the world!
of course there is hope in this world,we are human rights fighters, and not hypocrite or double face people,we are defending human rights everywhere, not like others waging wars for their benefits.

I apologize for some of my comments(nose out of joint) as we all have good days & bad days. Many Americans do not agree with our foreign policies including me which in quite a few cases we should have not have been there ie: Vietnam which according to our constitution Congress is the only authority to declare war which they did not-Vietnam is considered a police action. I would like to add that Congress also did not after 911(forget the conspiracy theory as I do not believe for 1 second was an inside job), nevertheless Bush I guess had the support so Congress overlooked it & wanted to make a good showing for the American ppl figuring he was justified in doing so but I believe it was wrong especially that our brave young soldiers had no choice like Vietnam and suffered the maximum consequenceas well as other countries. I know this is off the subject at hand but to recap WW11, I believe that if not for our intervention many countries native languages would have been German, Japanese or Italian. Try to have good day...

I think that was down to the Russians rather than ye, but you keep thinking that anyway!!
As one who served in the Marines I can tell you that it is not approved actions my the Marines as a group. There will always be some who get carried away by emotions and youthful(immature) actions.
With that said........those of you out there that think you can do what you want to the US or our interests/allies need to remember this: we CAN find you and we CAN stop you.....and if you are lucky MAYBE you won't get pissed on - so give up your BS and become civilized.....and only then will you be safe.
