bodleing: But your joke was offensive in the extreme by any standards.

Pats was just funny.

Sad when folk stir it up and then try to say they are offended after they themselves post very offensive material....

grin cheers

His joke was not in slightest funny,

I found it extremely offensive.

If a joke is offensive how extreme it is is immaterial

Offensive is offensive.

I have read the thread from start to finish,
you started it by making fun of the Irish,
and because some Irish people are not offended by it,
doesn't mean it is not offensive,

Many jokes can offend somebody, sometimes deservedly so as your example well illustrated. But extremely offensive?
I make fun of Scousers quite often because here in Manchester that's what we do. They almost always come back with equally jocular disdain.

That's why I love em so much.

Oh I am very real, and no I am not just stirring.

I am entitled to give my opinion just like you

and your little fan club. If you don't like it that's your problem.

It's an open forum for all. And I will not be bullied by you.
