Hey! It's the truth. Most of us, including me, are virtually well trained monkeys. Doing our small bit everyday. The innovators are doing a small bit everyday, but their direction is what breaks new ground. They're the Armoured Spearheads. The rest of us are the logistics people behind the lines.... very necessary... but unremarkable really.

Well, that was mean! Maybe, just maybe because I don't know you. Perhaps it's your attitude or energy you release that brings out the worse in people or maybe you see in people what you need to fix in your life. I can't imagine you going anywhere in the US and everyone is full of themselves or that every American visiting your country is full of themselves. The common denominator in this is YOU! Just a thought. Work at smiling and being a blessing to others instead of grouping them all in a box of full of themselves.

Bad thing the person starting this post will not likely read this. Oh well, it's out in the universe now. Hopefully, it will reach him one of these days. :-)

Obstinance_Works: If you think of America the nation you think of power, strength, influence, technology, medicine etc.. You think of a world leader.

Think of the American people and you think of obesity, crass consumerism, aculture, jobs in retail & marketing and degrees in sociology & finance.

It's easy to see how the two images don't marry up.

no Obstinance when you think of america - you think these thinks - not when the rest of world thinks America..... rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing comfort don't get me started on those Brits!

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Part of a sermon delivered at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama, on 17 November 1957.

"Now, I’m aware of the fact that some people will not like you, not because of something you have done to them, but they just won’t like you. I’m quite aware of that. Some people aren’t going to like the way you walk; some people aren’t going to like the way you talk. Some people aren’t going to like you because you can do your job better than they can do theirs. Some people aren’t going to like you because other people like you, and because you’re popular, and because you’re well-liked, they aren’t going to like you. Some people aren’t going to like you because your hair is a little shorter than theirs or your hair is a little longer than theirs. Some people aren’t going to like you because your skin is a little brighter than theirs; and others aren’t going to like you because your skin is a little darker than theirs. So that some people aren’t going to like you. They’re going to dislike you, not because of something that you’ve done to them, but because of various jealous reactions and other reactions that are so prevalent in human nature."

I would like to clarify this with my full of myself and opionated way that we are no way a horriable country. We are very fortunate. Yes we are living in changing times. That is what life is all about. But to me a horriable country to live in would be one without access to water and food. Children, babies, young, and old dieing on the streets from lack of food or just the weather elements. To hot to cold. Not having the liberties to practice or not whatever religion I choose. As a woman to be thought of less than cattle. That is horriable. I am gratefull for the freedoms I do have. And for those who have protected my freedoms for me. Every country has its problems but there is a big difference between horriable and problems. sad flower

I went to New York on Boxing Day last year. I have never been to the US before. I had a total blast and I found people to be very polite. At Time Square there must have been a million people there and not one person was rude or even bumped into me. There is always a bad apple in every crowd and they make it bad for the rest. hug handshake comfort
