Green_Sleeves: The only time I ever did a 'half way' meet it just so happened that Tullamore was the half way point, so, we both agreed as both were aware of the town but had never been there!
I shalt be meeting anyone in Tullamore again, lets just say it gave me a whole new appreciation of Carlow!

It really comes down to the public transport links, there is no point meeting half way if you both have difficulty getting tot the half way point because no public transport will take either of you half way.
If public transport allows you to meet half way fine, but if not, it might be more cost effective for one to take a taxi to the other and home, but you both agree to halve the full taxi cost.
And by the way I hope you have a great meeting of minds too....good luck
