Meet half way I think is a good idea and somewhere where there is good transport links. It really depends on the location i guess.

Yeah, half way sounds good, unless she was in Dublin for instance (easy to get to, plus, plenty to see there). If she were in Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford etc I reckon I'd still do the travelling, theyre close by, and besides, there is no decent 'mid point' between them laugh

Is this long distance ?

If you both live in the same town / city and you don't know the person why not just meet somewhere for a coffee or a drink ?

Half way, if it's a first date and you don't know if you want to see him again I wouldn't want to meet him in one of my usual hangouts...

For safety reasons I'd rather meet on a first date in my county/adopted county so I'm familiar with the place so if that means he has to come to me so be it. If he wont do that he isnt a gentleman as far as I'm concerned thumbs down On a second date I will go to his county or meet half way

depends on the distance..if halfway is achievable with public transport then..halfway.

also what someone said about their haunts and that bit of privacy..esp a new person..just to be safe.

The only time I ever did a 'half way' meet it just so happened that Tullamore was the half way point, so, we both agreed as both were aware of the town but had never been there!

I shalt be meeting anyone in Tullamore again, lets just say it gave me a whole new appreciation of Carlow! uh oh
