but na my mum lived in an age when the man wore the pants and women did the things a women did, the old man dug the garden, fixed the car, worked and got tossed out of the glue pot at quarter past six like all the blokes who drank in male only public bars after work

I can remember the ice truck that delivered the ice before fridges, the brick in the safe to keep the butter cool, the copper you boiled the cloths in, well ahead of Australia NZ had flush toilets when Sydney (anyway) still had night carts, i can remember school holiday on a farm with a draft horse pulling a sledge before tractors became common. The first washing machine most us kids got our arms caught in the whinger, oh for the good old days when families included fathers
