felixis99: I see no problem with that but I do see a problem with it being "expected"
I feel the same way about being "expected" to pay for all my dates

Cheap Date
Worried that his son was spending too much money on dates, Little Johnny's Father asked how much his last date had cost.

Little Johnny calculated a minute then replied, "Oh, about $15 or so I think."

"Well," said his Father, "I'm proud of you for finally coming up with an inexpensive evening."

"To be honest Dad," Little Johnny went on, "we'd have done more, but that was all the money she had.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

yes then you clearly are looking for someone who feels as you do - this does not bother me at all

but some become quite hostile if disagreed with. a bad sign I'd say

I'm from the old school of thought and follow the gentleman's code in which the man always foots the bill whenever he takes a lady out.

when I was younger I chipped in quite a bit - we were a bunch of broke college students - there was a group of us and we'd pool change for beer & pizza etc...

I tend to agree, perhaps because I am a little older, but honestly I also like to treat him now & then too

I have to agree totally, if I thought enough to go on a second date with a lady, why would I embarrass myself by aking her to pay the bill. confused

I am of the school of thought that if you are courting, you should always pay and treat her well, She is not dumb and after the initial courting, if she wants to pay let her, not all woman are after free meal tickets. peace

i agree with everything you have said !!

id like a man to woo me , to spoil me ... if they wont do that at the start .. then you have no hope in the future of being spoilt as after the honey moon period it is all down hill from there laugh

Just call me "Old Fashioned", but if a guy is fortunate enough to get a 2nd date...then, yeah...he should pay. Where has the chivalry gone to in these so called "modern times/days"? (rhetorical question)

An exception, to me would be if she insisted on paying, or at least paid half, as a mutual act of consideration.

no I agree - really have never paid for a date ... but I have chipped in for drinks, for example

I think it's important to recognize that some men are offended or uncomfortable when a woman goes for her wallet...at least that has been my experience
