Bluefish22: Gosh Alberta, do you think I havn't read my own newspaper? Perhaps you could do a bit of reading and come up with something better than that.

Bluefish22: Oh Alberta, please, give it a rest.
We all KNOW the truth.
The thread is solved my little brainiac, we're allowed to park with all the big warships now.
Give up revealing lies a rest? Maybe you like to live in lies but truth is so refreshing. Fact is no regime has been taken out of power by the US that has been place in power by same. It is a moron's fantasy.
Now, New Zealand has seen the light and the threat the Chinese pose to their way of life and are fast tracking their return to the fold. Thank goodness your leaders see the light even if you don't. Like the nuclear powered Russian Ice Breaker that came to port soon US warships will as well.
And no, brainiac may seem what I am to you but seriously, I just am aware through reading and having an open mind what is going on. Nothing high browed at all, just a bit of work is all. Try it sometime.

It obviously went over your head, but brainiac was a sarcastic term for someone who thinks they know things about other peoples countries when in fact the people who actually live in that country know a lot more about it than you. You think the Chinese pose a threat to my way of life and The United States does not? Everyone knows Russias things don't work, and US nuclear powered warships will not be allowed in our ports, because unlike some supposedly democratic countries, our countries people and voters will not allow it, as we choose life and freedom from poisonous and toxic things. I also choose intelligence over arrogance, and I find it works better and makes more friends. As does a sense of humour. I know you have one, it would just be nice to tweeze it out once in a while.

So from post # 1 and #2 you are saying your PM is a liar then?
Bluefish22: You think the Chinese pose a threat to my way of life and The United States does not?
Your leaders tend to think that as they wish to be friends with the US and have made the overtures necessary to rejoin the defense agreement. That you don't is your business I suppose.

Russian safeguards for their reactors don't work yet you allow them in your ports huh. Wow.

I love your sense of humor. You say 'snub' and it is not the case and then your own PM proves you a liar.

Aren't they all Alberta? your naivete surprises me

We don't have leaders over here Alberta, I think you are confusing us with the US and China. We vote our Governments in and out fairly and depending on our whim of the time.
Albertaghost: Russian safeguards for their reactors don't work yet you allow them in your ports huh. Wow. I love your sense of humor. You say 'snub' and it is not the case and then your own PM proves you a liar. Now that's funny!
I think its obvious that it WAS a snub, and even more so now they have retracted their stance, and we have not. There are Prime Ministers, and there are Prime Ministers, and not all garner the blind respect and dogged belief you seem to have my dear Alberta. May I quote the great wordsmith David Lange "there's only one thing worse than being incinerated by your enemies, and that's being incinerated by your friends'.
Bluefish22: I find this statement of yours very dangerous in its simple stupidity Alberta, and from you, this is surprising given the copious amounts of stupidity to waft through. We in New Zealand have trade agreements with China, we have no hostility, as I believe the US has no hostility. Your residing in Canada and yet presuming to know the thoughts of other so called leaders of the world, including mine, astounds me. As you seem to be just a silly old man. China, is our friend Alberta, and we live a lot closer to them, and frankly, Id rather eat Chinese food than the grain fed tasteless cattle of America. And I don't think you've factored in our native people or any of our cultural preferences, and the fact that I, am rather deft with chopsticks. Good day, sir.
Albertaghost: Course you've never been bullied. Always had the US and Australia to help out and, the only threat to date was the Imperial Japanese Navy of last century. That will change as the new Chinese carriers come online.
Oh please. Australia? You have no idea about anything about my country Alberta, you obviously have never been here and yet you still choose to waffle on as if you know something. We may be small but we have more balls than you've ever dreamed of, we have more knowledge in agriculture and environmental science than you've ever dreamed of reading about, and we don't read, Alberta, we do. We get our degrees, and then we got off our asses and get into it. Knowledge is gained by experience, reading is purely entertainment. Unless you're a gossipmonger, such as yourself. Nihao.

I know that you guys want to gt back into the fold and with the seven Chinese carriers coming on line in the near future to patrol and cajole local waters being in a defense agreement with some heavier hitters is a good thing.
Bluefish22: Unless you're a gossipmonger, such as yourself. Nihao.
Huh? You're the one who said the US snubbed them and then took it back, when it was pointed out you actually did say it you then retracted and played the politician lying ploy.
According to yourself, for really smart people you sure elect dumb leaders.
We are a nuclear free nation, and most are proud of it. We don't allow nuclear ships in our waters, of any nationality. They must be declared non nuclear. US will not tell us whether the ships they send are nuclear powered or not, therefore we don't allow their ships in.
Though the PM has stated something, he also does not want to sour any relations that may encroach our trading potential with the US.
It is very obvious to me that our Navy ships are excluded from berthing at Pearl Harbour for the maritime exercise, as an ongoing punishment for our Nuclear Free status, but wondering if perhaps someone else knows better, such as the berthing co-ordinator...???
The 'nuclear free' slogan is a myth. You still import nuclear material. Everyone knows that.

Bluefish you sound like a typical post-uni know all who thinks that they know everything and yet has a very small understanding of the world at large. You probably fume when you hear that tradies earn more than most graduates. After all - they havn't been to uni and therefore are not in the elite. I am sick of young people with that attitude. Go out and get some life experience and learn how the world works and then come back and prattle.
