Roughly put, but I'd agree with it. The OP didn't mention if there was Dad around to have a 'chat' with the fella.

no sure it's all emotions and crap like that, i remember my sis was seeing a lad years ago, he had kids all over the place one visit from the auld lad and that was the last we heard from him, no drama needed

royallee: So we are to assume that if you have an address in Knighbridge you are unlikely not to get into this type of situation .............. but chances are if you come from Hackney you are more likely for it to happen .............. Is that what you are implying

I said nothing about peoples addresses...I'm not quite sure what your trying to get at here...confused

MADDOG69: She's asking is the Jeremy Kyle scenarios more likely if you're a poor area rather than a rich area.

Generally speaking people living in so called richer areas are educated people...people who appear on Jeremy kyles human baiting show are not educated..most are low intelligence ..had a bad upbringing and are dog thick ireland

hiya chatty..just seeing this now ..
my sister met her bloke and he was just out of a relationship..8months later the ex turns up and says BTW your going to be a daddy next month..my sister was devastated ..he and his mam went to her and told her when the baby was born there would be a DNA test before any commitment was made..my sister stuck by him and the baby was his ..he and my sister take the little girl whenever they can .. he is in her life and they now hav a son of their own...
my advise is talk to them both . and if your daughter still wants to stick by him then you have to give your support..even if you dont agree with it.. and ask the bloke if he has any feelings for his ex..( he seems smitten with your daughter as you say) advise him to get a DNA test,(online, from a place here in dublin on Ormond Quay) and not to do any hosp appointments as the baby might not be his!!thumbs up

chattychick09: hi peeps
just wondering if anyone here ever been in the situation i now find myself in with my daughter who is 18 and can mayb offer advice ....my daughter has been seeing this guy the last 5 months , they see each other most evenings are totally besotted ....he finished with his ex a month b4 he started dating my daughter (she knows him 4 yrs only dating 5 months)...guess wat the other girl now says she is almost 7 months pregnant ...devastation all round ...the girl wants my daughters fella back ...he says to me and my daughter he wants to stay with my daughter and loves her very much does not want the other girl but wants to support her thru the pregnacy (going to scans )and obviously wants to be a good dad when baby comes along ... my daughter says she loves him to but is devasted that another girl is having his child and all the stuff that that brings along....she dosnt want to get in the way but is also worried once the baby comes along he will want to make a go of it with ex for babys sake and she will be hurt and devasted ...how it gods name do i protect her or can I ?? do i have to let her make her own decisions and shut my mouth??

I think what you are dealing with here is teenage drama with collaterally induced trauma.... for you. Don't forget in today mollycoddled society 18 is the new 12 so don't react like it real. At least it's not your kid up the duff and I'm inclined to think the other drama queen is only playing head games. Oh no, did I say a woman would lie about being preggers.... I must be a misogynist laugh
