fast_and_furious: What's all this gonna do for you outta curiosity?

It wont do alot for me in the long run but it will for my kid, she deserves to be compensated for her character being defamed in front af a shop full of people, I dont feel they should be let off with it so they can move on to the next kid and do the same. Might make them more sure of who they accuse in the long run .... Is that the correct answer Uno???

P.S How would you know if it affects people or not, im off into town soon to get a few bits for my daughter as she doesnt feel too confident right now about going into the shops ..... wonder why that is confused

shel get over it, blow over she's only a kid it won't scar her forever. Mistakes happen and ye the security guard was wrong but it ain't something I'd talk to solicitors and take court proceedings over. Going a tad overboard in my opinion. An apology is all that's needed! I robbed stuff myself in my young teenage years and was caut and embarrassed but trust me u get over it

I think you are quite right. It's a parent's responsibility to stand up for her child when she's been wronged. thumbs up

xxmissuniquexx: Just looking for a lil bit of advice off anyone who can offer some

Has anyone ever been falsely accused of shoplifting and if so what did you do about it and what was the outcome?

Happened my teenager over the weekend and any advice or anyone who can share their stories would be helpful to me

I am a security officer. Have been in this situation a lot of times.
Firstly, that security officer is going to get the sack, completely incompetent. You can only be accused of stealing goods once the person has left the premises.

Your daughter has every right to sue the security company for defamation of character, and trust me, you will never see that security officer again, as a matter of fact, security officers can themselves end up in jail for this type of offence.

i used to work in a supermarket as management firstly what the security person did was illegal you have togo beyond the checkout before you can be detained as once inside cash register a person can still pay for goods. secondly theres false accusation of a crime. thirdly threatening a minor which is most serious of all forcing them to buy goods totally illegal. fourthly theft by the shop.as security personell are part of shop staff he broke the law when he took things. sixtly banning from.premises without proof of crime and failing to.show proof. go to a good reputable solicitor and sue its worth a lot grief aggrivation destroying a persons reputation in all likelyhood shop will settle out of court make as part of settlement that security officer is fired an an apology is printed in paper redeeming the minors good reputation.....
