We dont have topics on the Irish threads. It just comes up in the threads. I have no problem with you starting a religious thread.
Its when you start telling people what they are, or are not, or what "family they are in wheather they like it or not...and things like that I have a problem with.
You have no right to tell people what "family" they belong to or what religion or faith they are just because of something that happened to them as a child. You can choose your religion but you certainly have no right to choose other peoples!

The mind shudders to think what you'd have to do to be chucked out of the RC Church. Once upon a time you'd be excommunicated if you were in the IRA but it's probably not easy to get out of that either

No prob. You do know that we're all Mormons anyway, right? Yep! The Mormons have it as one of their duties to get the names, dates of birth, etc of everyone on the planet as far back as records go and copy them to an archive in Salt Lake City. There, they pray for our souls and make us honorary Mormons. When the world ends we won't be going to the planet Kolob with them to live with God but we will have been purified. Now, isn't that nice of them
