I wish they wouldn't keep showing Saville's photograph on every news item, every internet news page etc etc etc. It actually gives me the creeps - I can't look at him! I didn't exactly idolise him as a kid, but I used to think he was an eccentric man(I like eccentrics!) who very obviously had a kind heart, helping all those charities and making those little kid's dreams come true with Jim'll Fix It. I almost wrote to him myself!! .... some thought eh!!! Gives me the shivers!

Newlife taking away Jimmy saville, people of that era just did not speak up, it was shame that is all it brought. So glad things are different now and will be moreso after all of this. Speak to some of the elderly and if they WANT to talk even now you would get a shock at how many were abused.

Yes I reckon a lot of stars will be shaking, a little feel those days and more seemed the accepted thing, now people are not afraid to have a voice. Better still for our young they in the main are not afraid to speak out. There will always be those who are abused by a family member and do not want to course problems in the family they would blame themselves for this sad sad

I was shocked to read that Freddy Starr my fav Comedian was implicated for groping a 15 year old when he was just starting out' the pic looks like he was only young as well.
He is in my age group and I know that girls used to hang around the pop groups in droves I bet the Beatles would have under-age girls at their parties and not have a clue what their ages were ....just hope that was the same thing for Freddy.

Thankyou yes I know 2 here from ages ago. They left profession. Now teachers in their training are given pointers on how innocent touching can bring out some horrendouse complaints. Sad
