1st line....There is a woman getting buried and her daughter is at the funeral. Then her daughter (the grand-daughter of the one being buried) meets someone and has then she has the best day in a long time.
2nd line....Now I know Carl is the resident expert in how a storylines should go with all the correct grammar and syntax, but I am making the assumption that this "she" mentioned is the same woman burying her mother.
This is as bad as trying to work out why ta guy gets the lift to the 12th floor every day and then walks the last 5 floors to his home.

He lives in the same building... 7th floor is his home , get elevator to 12th floor , then only walks down 5 floors for exercise ( ? ) and he is home.
