For me, my heart just started to pound a bit harder. My mind even noticed and I was thinking "no no no no". really it was no different then any other day me and my friend and my sister had relaxed and played a dice game. Though it only took one nerdy type laugh and somehow that is what set the hook. Though that is what lead to my first true heart break, considering I know she didn't have the same feelings for myself. Though I'm just saying it's easy to tell.
I used to define love as when you cared more about someone else's happiness and well being than your own. Unfortunately, I'm prone to caring for people that way a lot, so I have to rethink my definition of love. It's hard to explain how I think love is supposed to feel, but I think it centers around feeling safe in being vulnerable. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking...
You just know. That person is somehow different in the way that they affect you. There’s an intensity about it. You FEEL it DEEP within. It’s their very being or aura that seems to connect or capture yours. It’s who they are today and the person that they strive to be. You want to hold them close and tight. Within their presence, there’s a strong sense that you are at last finally home. And of course your heart palpitates uncontrollably as if to remind you that it’s not just some figment of your imagination.

Comfortable comes to mind with your words ..... the feelings and thoughts that you can simply be yourself, yet connected with another through your emotions, touch and the intensity of some innate indescribable chemistry.
Your excited to share your thoughts, day and imagine doing even the simplest of things with them .... you smile when you think of them, and even if your mad, all you really want to do is make up for it hurts so much.
The words joy comes to my mind, and funny that I'm writing this now for I was watching a show about Diane Sawyer who is totally in love with her husband - she describes it as complete joy and her face radiants those emotions when she speaks of her husband.
I love the words of wisdom that she said someone shared with her which goes along the lines of this: "criticism is just another way to make a request - why not just make the request?" ... so many of our petty differences in life/marriage could benefit by us simply asking for what we need instead of being critical. I think for myself those are words to take to my heart.
