Llllypoo: I finally met a man in here that I would actually love to date. He is attractive sweet funny witty and the only guy Ive actually enjoyed conversing with in a while.. But he lives in another country? Is it silly to even persue anything with him? What would you do? Help please..

Scubadiva: Lots of skype and then see if he wants to visit you. I've done this sort of thing before and I travel a lot internationally, not just US and Germany.

No guts, no glory, but seriously: I do not travel to meet guys off of the internet. Please let there be no misunderstanding. Businesspeople travel internationally all the time. It's not that big of a deal.
However, your point is well taken esp. for those people who have no experience. That is why I said to her to do her homework. There are some countries that I would not travel to alone as a female. Still, even the US can be a dangerous place if you don't know where you're going or what you're doing.

Good glad to see you are no going off willy nilly, but I'm sure some do, maybe a word of caution can be all it takes to safe a life. sometime a life depends a mere scrap of information.

I agree totally.Early on if the chemistry is there,I would gladly offer my home address,my personal land-line phone #,my Drs office and even to my secretary at my Lawyers office.I would willingly give her References of past job status with day-time business phone #'s and their Extension line so she could verify what type of person I am about my Integrity,honest and trustworthiness as a man.
One other male on this Forum said that the man should visit her 1st and I agree under normal circumstances to make a date and pick her up at her door in his suit and flowers or a corsage,but today its different,especially living further away than the same city.
As a Male Hospice Palliative-Care Nurse,I am on call so much and cant leave my job for 2-3 weeks.

First of all, I know that I will never move from where I live now. So the only option would be for him to do this.
For a relationship, being close is important. Otherwise, feelings fade away.
Let's assume that you meet and everything is perfect. If the one who has to move does not speak the language of that country, it becomes very difficult. Anyway the one to do this step would become unemployed. If he/she is at least ready to accept this idea, anyway after a while this will put a lot of tension on a fragile relationship.
Will she/he be able to work again in the field he/she is prepared ? Will he/she be ready to accept any kind of job ? Will he/she adapt to the new culture, if the differences are big ?
And on top of all this, being far away from friends and family will not help him/her cope with a totally new life.

He sounds like a nice fellow, and it appears you like him. Keep your options open.
You didn't say what other country, but I see you're in Hialeah. Offhand I can think of a dozen foreign nations that are closer to you than, say, Boise Idaho, which is in your own country.
I've known at least 3 international couples who met on here: New Zealand/Australia, USA (Florida)/Spain, and Scotland/Spain. So, yes, it can work.
My own international relationship ultimately did not work out though. Not because it was international; simply because of the distance. But in retrospect, it was worth the effort.
