galrads: I believe the title of this thread is a bit misleading.

as far as I'm concerned about voting rights, any individual who doesn't own property shouldn't be allowed to vote. That's the way it was and should be again, here.
Your above post clearly suggests that you do have a problem.

Ras427: Voting is not an antitlement, its the right of all citizens. Nothing in your above post is consistant with this fact. As for entitlements, many Americans lived under this premise for centuries, its only now you cry because your false sence of entitlement is no longer garranteed. What does voting rights have to do with Obama? Finally, you "dont want to live in a communist state" but you believe that only those who own property should have the right to vote. QUESTION? Are you stupid?

Yes, I believe only similar property owners should be able to vote to raise or lower their property taxes. Thanks for the "stupid" label.

Btw... I don't have a false sense of entitlement. I've never had one. I've worked for what I own.

i just want to mention that the government is now saying that returning soldiers should not have the right to purchase firearms because in their morbid way of thinking that the soldiers are mentally incompetent and potential terrorists. this is just another example of how are vets are being treated and is not liked by this radicle administration and president. to put it simply he does not like the military along with the rest of the liberal pinheads and media along with their hatred of anybody owning a firearm

When we have voting station workers that brag about voting many times, people at campaign offices telling people to vote man times, and states where 189% voted, something HAS to be done about that!
Maybe, just maybe going back to only land owner voting is not such a bad idea.
It sure looks to me like letting the have nots vote only gives more of what I had to work for away to them. People spending their whole life living off what others work damn sure isn't right no matter what anyone says!!

I guess you missed the class in school where they teach you how to work the system. Not only did they teach you how to get more of what you and I worked for but they also encouraged you to have lots of kids for us to support. LBJ was bound and determined that government would supply anything and everything cradle to grave.

What right wing, survival of the fittest types, don't seem to get is that not everyone is created equal in talent, intelligence, station in life.
Yes there are those that are lazy slackers, but the vast majority, that 47% that they and their hero look down on, are good hard working people. They just don't have the talent, intelligence, opportunity, to create companies, businesses, products,,,,. They are not job creators, BUT they are good hard working people.
In the greedy minds of right wingers they are to be exploited as much as possible for as little as possible and when they are used up, kick them aside, because after all they are "slackers. And if these greedy survival of the fittest types can find people in other countries to exploit for less then they will ship these jobs out of the country. They DO NOT owe their allegiance to this country no matter how much they wave the flag.
It is the job of government, to protect us all from that rightwing mind set. Of course that's a constant tug of war between liberal thinkers and those who will stupidly vote to cut their own throats because of a variety of psychological reasons, such as, religion, homophobia, greed, etc.

wow the job of the federal government in the USA is to protect our borders and interstate commerce.
Btw... It is ok to be successful in life. Being successful is not being greedy. If "I" want something, I work for it. If "I" want to help someone, a charity, an organization, using what I earned, I will. We don't need government controlling our lives. We need less government, especially the more socialistic types.

Nothing wrong at all with being successful. In another thread I mentioned that I think a mix of capitalism and socialism can work best.
Exploiting people for as little as possible and sending jobs abroad at the expense of our economy is greed. Downright treason.
Those who are just good workers should also be successful but they are dependent on survival of the fittest types who will not give them a decent wage so that we can have an economy. Worse yet, these greedy types think of them as slackers to be exploited an kicked to the side when bled dry.
The private sector WILL not check their own greed, therefore only government can do that.
I don't think you understand a thing I said in my previous post.

So you do believe in charity ? You do realize that depending on the charity of survival of the fittest types like yourself would be like letting you vote on how much in property taxes you would pay.

Jeesh: Corporations have made millions of Americans extremely successful. Most people's retirememnts depend on corporations and the stock market. Even gutless coward labor unions are invested in corporate America with their pension funds. Except for crooked politicians, how many millionaires has the gov't made? How many millions have or are now living in poverty BECAUSE of gov't? There is no way you can take half of the 400 richest people's money and end poverty. Socialism never works. I figured each person would get about $2,000. They could live off that for a couple of months, then what? Who are you going to steal from then after the money runs out?

The US gov has spent so much, the money ran out long ago, now they borrow the money to give away and we just get the bills for the interest on all that debt.
