the lady who came to Melbourne with me , over the years she had exchange students lodge at her home they'd come and go & who were here to study at Uni and their parents paid for them she always found them to be polite and respectful it wasn't long term though she would have up to two at a time monies always paid on time. If you're interested I can ask her more imformation on the students etc! asha69: hope me and curls helped too merri

Yes, an O/S student is always a good idea. I couldn't get one because I'm too far from the uni. China, Malaysia, Singapore. India (female only I'd suggest). I work with these people and you couldn't do better.
I have to admit I like my privacy, but I manage to cope with my boarder since he has the bedroom up the front of the house and mine is down the back. I have an ensuite and he has the other bathroom near his room. We each mind our own business. If he wants to bring girls over that's his business, but I told him if it becomes a "live-in" arrangement then she'll have to pay rent.

I ran a rental unit for two years or more , never lost a week's rent in that time . Better than that I sold a motor for $ 50.00 that a tenant left behind so was ahead . Not for every one as my ex took it over in the big divi up and and it all turned to crap . My ex could not see that a shoulder off a mutton or a front quater off a wild pig was a good bribe every few weeks . Only bulk meat that the tenants ever go I guess .
You can't ask a tenant if they work here , don't no about a boarder . Best way to find a good tenant/and I guess boarder is to ask people you know and trust if they know somebody .

What ratio do you mix your 2/stroke at . Have you ever used 4/stroke petrol in a chainsaw . If so who's chainsaw was that . Was that person ever your landlord or your father and is that the reason you are looking for a place to stay .What's very important is what type of chainsaw they have .
If they have a STIHL they could be pretentious , an old MCculloch , they more than likely got it from a grandparent and will be a family person .

When ever I go to my Chinese friends and Iranian friends and houses, we are all expected to take shoes off and wear slippers provided/bring your own or walk bare footed, even on polished floor boards or tiled floors. Definitely not asking to much---expected courtesy.
