In my daily swimming (public pool) at the showers some women (many) just talk and talk and they do it in a noisy way, so it is uncomfortable and it is like a torment.

It is a torment to me when I am at home and hear the heavy footsteps of a woman wearing heels just because she doesn't know how to carry her feet. 
Especially early in the morning during rest days and still in bed exhausted at work the other day.

Something that torments me is the crime in my country.
Just yesterday, the tiny little business that I am in charge of (helping one of my brothers with) was robbed. I had to go to a dangerous place at early hours by myself and handle the situation. (my brother does not live in this town). Not much was taken because of the alarm system of the little business sends to the alarm Company and to the local police an immediate signal that allows them to be at the place in -some- minutes. I did arrive there a few minutes before the police!
Although tormenting might not be the right term to define the situation described above.

I do know Jac the pain of a parent seing their children trough a glass window in a hospital, that is really a torment. I am glad you daughter made it so did my son when he was just born.
