galrads: Sorry, I shouldn't have distracted from your threads intent. No one, however, can dispute the generosity of Americans consistently giving more to others; in lives, money, technology and foods.
that is one side of the equation: Americans gives more to others; lives, money, technology and foods. But also America takes more from others.. a lot more.. !! here we go again !!

and to further distract from the friendliness of this thread - I see consistently in my community that people are extremely good at throwing loose change and coins at those in distress - not really helping - sometimes things can be solved by being a good listener - money doesn't solve a lot of things in the world.

This friendliness of yours, ranked by how many lives of your own you give, makes no sense to me. Is this some old trace of human sacrifice?
The USA is # 5 in this list and Canada is # 4. I don't even see Iceland in this list of the top 15 friendliest Countries. The first two did not surprise me but I was a bit surprised that South Africa is # 3. But I have never been there so what ever works. LOL. # 5 is not so bad for a big place like this.

"Take" is a loose term. I want to think you mean we have a good eye for things and then buy whatever we can to hep others.... Like Trickie Dickie, Nixon said , "I am not a crook"

hi Jean,.."money doesn't solve a lot of things in the world"

lately we have too many "Trickie Dickies" there, and everywhere...
Adalstef: Iceland's 319,000 people are ranked the friendliest in the world to foreign visitors Most friendly countries also include New Zealand, Portugal and Senegal
Bolivia is the least welcoming country in the world The UK was ranked as the 55th most welcoming place to visit, far behind Ireland at number 9 The US rated very poorly at 102nd out of 140 for friendlinesshttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2306868/Worlds-friendliest-country-Head-Iceland-avoid-Bolivia-costs.html
Macedonia ranked # 4???? now that is getting a bit strange for sure. Unless things have changed dramatically in just 2 years that is very unlikely. For so many reasons. Iceland # 1 I can not say as I have no experience there, but this # 4 for Macedonia is laughable. I wish it was that way. I wonder who comes up with this stuff, I mean in the newspaper or the other sources. Just kind of strange.
hi adalstef i remember once watching a 60 minutes report about iceland nice country thay said iceland had a lot of very beautiful weman there from when the vikeings made there way accross europe takeing only the most beautiful ladys

it is a question where banks are going to invest in real estate ... (conspiracy theory).... but i do agree with you... Macedonia has a long way to go...

Thats true, the Vikings raided mostly Ireland and England and took the most beautiful women. The country was isolated for many centuries so they have remained pretty pure.

That article can say whatever about Bolivia but I would love to visit it particularly Uyuni (Salt Desert).
