I agree I am on several other forums which are not dating sites and all of them give you a notification telling you who has commented on your particular part of the thread..
I like it that way as if someone is waiting for my reply I dont miss it.

Hey Serene one of my favourite forums is experienceproject I think you would enjoy it.. Some really dumb questions come through from bored teenagers but it is all about peoples life experiences and some are wanting advise some are just telling their stories. But it helps connect people with similar stories..
my other forums depends on whether you like a good debate :) or to argue.... I also have a few poetry ones as I write.
it can be a problem missing posts if you slip 24 hrs or a time zone problem . Its a lot better here now as there is only one conversation running per thread and never one conversation running over three threads like all the Aussie nanna's used to do .

We get all that on here but more so on the international forums.

You can do a quick check of any threads you have started? by the link to the right under "My Threads" that way you can scan thru your threads???

One or 5 of the forums I use has this. Unfortunately, it is not just limited to what I have posted but what I have looked at and someone has posted as a comment.
One is the school I went to posted up on fb. Everytime someone posts a comment, I get notified. Even if it was only to do with something 10 years ago and not back in the stone tablet era I went to school.

I get more than enough notifications on facebook ...actually, I get notifications that I have notifications and it frustrates the begeesus out of me scrolling through pointless spam ...
My comments are mostly throw away lines on the forums, so who really cares if someone does or does not comment ...
I use my pm for the good stuff, so I know when I have mail or not, and for me this is enough ....

Agree. You can be physically attracted to someone ie. a foto.
You may have things in common, same sense of humor.
If after you have talked - on the phone - you get a better sense of someone, you may not like his/her voice, that is something that doesn't come across on the net?
Then of course if you meet face to face - anything can happen
- or not?? It's probably 50/50 if that person is what you expect them to be and vice versa??
