its august..always has been always will be.. midsomers day is june 21-22nd st and autumn exinox is usually sept 21st -22nd,

sure u can smell autumn in the air bout 10th of aug onwards in the evening if u put yer nose outside..wonderful damp and hazy aroma this to me always heralds the autumn.

Its like the smell of winter coming that you get coming up to Halloween. It's a sort of damp wood burning smell. And that's before the bonfires!laugh
