It's not a country pedro, it's a continent, and yes they do get frost and snow. In fact there's quite good skiing to be had in South Africa.

We had our first frost here 2 nights ago. Much too early considering we had 30c. weather last week. Could be a long winter.

Its a difficult question to answer as Africa is a huge continent, In the south they get snow in winter, in Kenya the they don't, the temperature in Kenya varies only about 10 degrees all year round, in the North of Africa it can drop below zero, but not so common.
Sorry there is snow in Kenya but on Mount Kenya which is the second highest mountain in Africa, I think, after Kilimanjaro which has a permanent white top.

Hey Pedro,
Yes, we do get frost, mostly in winter though. You can see from profile pic, the grass is frost burnt. Early mornings if you walk on the grass, you will hear a crunching sound as your feet break up thin films of ice.
We are in Jhb, so in the frost zone...from Pretoria up northwards, you do not get frost or very rare and minimal as it starts to get warmer in those areas, even in winter....
I have twice seen snow in Jhb and further south it is more frequent....
