Why do people join these sites? (16)

I just got a guy who did that. Saying it's better, it's exactly the same as messages here, here you also have flowers you can send. I don't get why you join a site just to ask for e-mail, im or something. You need to find people so you join a site and then go there? I don't get it. I don't think you need to, and it's pointless to Join a site and then not use it to talk.

I guess you've got mail from scammers already. You are right, stay on this site to message and protect your identity.

I don't check my regular email so it is best I email on this site. I get the same emails. I just tell them no. Some will suggest to email on here then. And some I never here from again. It is up to the individuals if they want to leave the site. Some have no problem with it. It is inconvenient for me. Best wishes

In my innocence............I joined many sites, believing this is the modern way to meet THE important person. At that time we had the IM here so we could decide whether or not to move our communication outside the zone. I never thought about communicating with people to discuss TOPICS!!!!!! I can discuss topics with all and sundry in my personal environment,but I learned that these forums can be fun!!!!!!!
It is better to talk on the IM or Skype with someone you may believe is potential, but not everyone is genuine, so you have to take your time in deciding who you let into your personal zone.

When I first got on these sites I made the mistake of giving my email to gorgeous russian woman. I never heard from her again but got inundated with lots of russian spam. I eventually had to change my email.
