anilag: Yes, I'm not skinny, I'm 48 years old woman, size 8 and 5'10 Tall.
And the average woman's size in America is 14,and I'm working like horse when I go to gym 4 times a week, and don't eat junk.
Young girls want to look good, and want to be liked, it a hard work.
You want to give them idea that they don't have to do anything, and wonder if men like bigger girls ? Wrong. Nothing is for nothing.

lol like myself the last time you saw a number 8 was on a bus rolling on the floor laughing

Some people are attracted to fat people some are not, like some are attracted to taller people or bald people. The only thing is tall or bald dont effect your health fat does.

Ccincy: I used to be a parent volunteer in the grade school my son once attended and and saw some students who didn't even have money for their lunches.I would go home and pack them a lunch and bring it back to school so they'd have something healthy to eat.

I'd go home at night and sit in my chair and cry thinking about all that my son had and wondering if those students even had supper that night.Just the other day I saw a mother buying only junk food and her children were with her and they were overweight. On the way home I saw a whole line up of vehicles at several fast food places.

One of the biggest factors for diabetes is hereditary. To lump it with poor eating habits just doesn't fly. By the way there are also very thin diabetics (not many, but a few) who certainly wouldn't qualify on fast food cause.

In order to fall for a person we have to start a relationship with them, in order to want to do that you have to be attracted to them so what they look like initially makes a difference.

Being overweight is not taking care of your health though.

We will have to agree to disagree so, it is well documented that carrying extra weight is a strain on a persons health, even though some wont admit it and will say they are healthy.

Hi Galt wave

I disagree that you need to see a person before you fall for them. I understand what you mean...that people are initially attracted to someone in the real world because of what they see, but on here you are attracted to someone by what they say.

I've been in a relationship with someone on here for eight months. I didn't meet him until two weeks ago. Our feelings for each other had developed long before we met because we had very lengthy discussions about everything.

I was upfront with him (before we met) that I am overweight and I also tell him when I get on the scale how much weight I have lost.

Both of us were cautious about internet dating but we took the chance and now the relationship is going to the next step. He has invited me to have Thanksgiving dinner with his family.

The scary thing of meeting his mother uh oh laugh

We talk about her so much I almost feel that I know her.

So, it is possible to give your heart to a relationship before you meet the person...bouquet

I'll give you an extreme example... sort of a contradiction: Sumo wrestlers. They are immensely strong. They are cardiovascular speaking, fairly fit I believe. But... that extra weight does eventually wear them down and they die younger and have heart problems when they get older. So, they're not healthy.

frob8: absolutely yes if there is one turn off from a women its her being skinny

justjim63: Well said frob, If more young men thought like You then..
and so on..

Hmm.. I am just wondering how come if someone said "if there is one turn off from a woman its her being fat (read plus size)" it would be considered insulting or rude but it's NOT insulting at all if someone said like what frob8 said? confused

Dont you think both statements have the same values?
If you want to help this young woman, dont you think it's better to do it without insulting any party?

As for the weight issue, in my life, I have always been slim, some might say skinny (I know I know I am just a turn off to someone grin). You see, I tried to gain more weights, but even just to have one more kg, it's so difficult. So I checked what my daily intake. I eat rice, vegetables (mostly raw or steamed), fish (and other seafood), and fruits. I am not really into red meat simply because I dont like its smell and I am not into what's so called "junkfood." I drink mineral water, hot water mostly, milk and juice. I seldom drink coffee, tea and anything with soda like coke. I never drink alcohol and never smoke. I like ice cream and chocolate. But I seldom "snacking." I dont do exercise regularly.

When I met my doctor and consulted about my "weight," I told him those stuff. He said maybe I should try to consume the red meat more and exercise more regularly. But I was too stubborn to listen to him. grin so here I am.. the skinny woman!!

My point is if we find our weight a "problem," better to do something about it, like check our dietary and consult with our doctor.. and FOLLOW his/her advice. And since internet access is now every where, so if we find consultation with a doctor expensive, we can always ask Prof.Google. Dont expect other to like us if we dont like what we see in ourself and do nothing about it.

The biggest problem with junk food is its cheaper than good healthy food ...

you can lose weight by ovoiding foods that are loaded with sugar , now sweetcorn and baked beans and veggies will help you lose fat pig status and drink plenty of water and dont have 10 cups of coffee and think thats all the fluids you need ...and stay away from fizzy drinks ,they are loaded with sugar...and get out and walk and be careull you dont over do it .....teddybear

My guy had decided weeks ago that he was eating way too much sweets and just plain junk that I told him wasn't really good for him.He went to his doctor and was told to cut out sweets and do a lot of walking.

Now that we have a dog we do go to a lot of parks and do a lot of walking and he's lost some weight.I don't expect him to become a string bean but the extra weight was putting strain on his lower back muscles.

He's also eating things like veggies and fruits instead of junk food snacks.Since I myself will only eat home cooked meals he appears to be much healthier.

I agree, my daughter is part Native American...but she was also overweight and was pre-diabetic, the doctor told her is she lost X amount of weight that she would not become diabetic...so she has and her numbers are normal now.

Why does it have to be the extremes? Fat or skinny? Why not simply a healthy weight?
