When 9-year-old Amira Willighagen from Nijmegen stepped onto the "Holland's Got Talent" stage, no one was expecting such a big voice to come out of such a very little girl.

Her incredible rendition of Puccini's "O Mio Babbino Caro" from the opera "Gianni Schicchi" earned her a Golden Ticket from the judges that would take her straight to the live show.

It's hard to believe how young Amira is, but even more surprising to learn that she is completely self-taught, and used only YouTube tutorials to learn how to sing.

She told the judges, "My brother Vincent plays violin, and I also wanted to do something... So I thought, I'm going to sing… and then I heard opera songs, which I found very beautiful and that's when I started singing," HLNBE reports.

you ask where they come from? You know how to make babies ,or ??laugh
To be serious. My explanation for amira is that she is just like a monkey; a monkey is copying.Have you ever heard fom the russian psychologist pavlov ? Pavlov has found the theory of conditioned reflex and the whole of the russian psychology depends on that, coz pavlov tries to explain everything through conditioning. I think in very most cases he is right.
When a baby is born it has 100 % intelligence. Then slowly the conditioning from the outside start and the kids are made unintelligence. It is proven fact that if someone studied to much, has to much knowledge in his head, that the intelligence is less.

I think amira must have good parents ,who just did not pit to much conditioning on her. There are other examples of small kids, 2,5 years with an iq of 140.....
Well just my opinion

Some children are born to be good at maths, others it is football or singing, and some children have no noteworthy potential whatsoever.

Education and/or practice realise the potential that you are born with.

I didn't think either of us was really disagreeing with the other, but there is one slight difference: not everyone is born with potential.

I dont think Pavlov theory (classical conditioning or behaviorist) has anything to do with that (suggest some reading), as would make all us a bunch of Einsteins or a bunch of idiots... and no, I dont know how to make this kind of babies at all !laugh

so far, there are no theories to explain why Einstein, Mozart or any "prodigy" differs from the regular "human specie"...

cheers
