WWW is the actual pages on the internet like this one. The internet itself is the hardware. Servers, routers, trunk routes, switching houses etc. It's the invisible stuff that makes it work.

It's always good to read the threads here, because I always though the difference was that the English called it the WWW and the Americans called it the Internet?
