Shotguns are as little a solution as explosives, but I will need find a solution somehow. I don't want to. Just thinking about it is terrible, but I know something has to be done. Will see what estate agent will suggest, he knows a lot of people, my hope lies with that currently, else I will need to contact shelters and see what they think :'/

you dont really need 2 dobes in leitrim in all fairness, i know you have a kind heart tiny giving a loving home and shelter to all those animals but seriously its only putting a strain on you both physically and financially. You need to try and find good homes for some of them lessen the flock and lighten the load , your animals welfare is your main priority now at moment whats going to happen is your going to become over run with animals and crack under strain trying to mind them all at once, old saying you have to be cruel to be kind its for the best tiny both yours and the animals health and well being. comfort hug

The Dobes are not too much of an issue, and never ever would I tear them apart. They are real close and the big boy had a terrible start in life. It is amazing to see him so happy now, and they are both real sweet, as are the other 3, but the other 3 are the ones creating a lot of work, and if I'd be able to find good homes, I'd do so, although I know my heart will break. It will break parting with any of the beings here. I feel responsible for them, they trust me and I feel I am letting them down >.< but yes, I am aware that I can not cope, bitterly aware crying

Im sorry to hear about all the stress you are under tiny.

The above is a site that has a 'No Death policy' for its animals. It would be a place to home the cats and dogs that are more dependent on you than you are on them.

There is an article there on a woman who has started a charity called 'hungry horse outside' that finds homes and ways and means to help horses. It includes the founders email address and mobile number.

But from what i have read Tiny, you need a break. I appreciate your concern for the Stallion, but horses are so much incredible responsibility. The people with the link above will at the very least offer you advice if not assistance.

most people on here had a terrible start in life, your getting to emotionally attached you need to distance yourself slightly. im sure if you got struck tonight with lighting and died god forbid the animals would survive without you ,its you i think tiny might not survive as well as the animals would comfort

mjpd67: we used to have 7 dogs and 20 feretts once upon a time 2 dogs left now which are very well looked after

Ferrets are very lovely and ever so smart, but heavens to look after 20 must have been impossible work too.
