If you're regularly being proved wrong then it probably means that you're not learning anything and that you're quick to voice your opinion on matters which you know nothing about.
And besides, 90% of the time proving somebody wrong achieves nothing. Emotion, humour, sophistry, spin and even tears mean more than real evidence ever could.
