If I were looking, I'd want someone who is in the same boat as I am. (Meaning no obligations on any front: financial, family, etc.). I would not ask for more than what I bring to the table.

I had both, I was sick many moons ago and couldn't work for a while. I met someone and he basically thought because he had more money, he could call the shots. The last guy I was seeing was in a dead end job and decided to go back to college to have better chances for employment. I fully supported that. Wouldn't have had any problems chipping in a bit more financially when going out, but he didn't want that. Not always nice as doing a lot of things just costs money, but it was temporary and I could have lived with that.
At the end of the day, whoever we like has to like us back for who we are as a person.
