Twodawgz: What are you laughing at foofa.

Next weekend, I am going on a long drive with a fellow photographer, (one who is experienced, and who has been helping me a little) and going to try for some nice seascapes...

so that is the end of my birthday thread...

Thank you all for your good wishes...

Sorry Mr Wash... the computer jumped..

Doco's on nature are just great to watch...

and I log on to National Geo every day to check out the daily dozen, which are the editor's picks for the day..

I see some wonderful work, and really happy to be part of that..

I have never entered an assignment as yet, as I know I need to practice a lot more, but that is my aim..

I am still learning, and having fun with it all, either alone , or within a group... I enjoy it all...

But on lady at work, who is such a nice person, wanted a blown up photo I captured recently whilst in Kangaroo Island.. She wants to frame it for her beach house in Robe... so I guess, I was a bit flattered... and
I guess what you say, I liked the shot, but see, I much preferred my eagle shot, but no... she liked the blue wrens, which I would not have picked,

so we are all different, and see things differently... as of course, as it should be... wave

During the Great Australian Drought so far this Century, I took a photo of water in the Barwin (2008).. 2013 when I went through there, it was dry as a bone even the the drought had broken (according to some).

That shot has been my screen-saver for my work (when I was working)
computer since then and oddly enough (and my home computer and my iPhone), a lot of people have commented on it, and then wanted it for their screen saver.

I have also had requests to use the photo from a number of wannabe artists and some people who wanted to do a canvas-print of it - unfortunately the quality shot I took is only suitable for A4 print only.

Many years ago, I would go to the Sydney Royal Easter Show and besides doing all of the ag stuff and wood-chop (okay, it was rides and showbags as a kid), I would always go through the Rothman's Pavilion.

Not only could I scab a few smokes on the way through but got to see a very small number of award-winning photos from the previous year. I miss those times (the photos, not the smokes)

What a shame Wash... you need to shoot in RAW. (pls don't comment Mr Lookin, it is not what you think grin )
But every now and then, everyone shoots something rather nice, and you should be pleased that others liked it enough to want to paint it... that is great.
