Oz are going through a bigger downturn than they let of but still its nowhere near as bad as the rest of the world. A cousin of mine isan engineer/fitter with one of the biggest mining companies there. Says they are booming and the downturn hasnt affected them in the slightest.

Yes there is a man from Wexford an engineer that started off with few people now employs loads and muilt million business now,
He said he was glad when he went as he foresaw the downturn of Irish economy and the banks and got out while he could and invested the bit he had,
He just enjoys what he does and his business is growing ,he employs Irish and their friends or families who have the know how and Certs etc,

Mailbox, blocked settings.
You can reduce mail to Western Europe but that's about it. You can't stop anyone from viewing you - try being blonde and see how much views from outside Ireland you'll get.
There are other things you can block and that usually cuts down on a lot of mail as well.
Or you can block everyone and just write to people you are interested in.
I never get mails from outside of Europe, so I must have my settings right

Most people speak some English, so that shouldn't be a problem.
