"Ask a roomful of people to define love and it's likely you will gather just as many definitions as there are people in the room. Love is probably one of the most used, misused and abused words in our language. This is also why, while it may be easy to 'talk the talk of love', it's far from easy to 'walk the walk' of love.
There are not different types of love, there is only one love, but there are many faces and forms of love as it finds its way through us all and out into the world. Compassion, care, respect, forgiveness are only a few of the almost infinite ways that the light of love can be felt, seen and known."

Mike George

To find true happiness you need love. Not the love for something or someone, just the presence of love.

MsContessa: Unsure now. Is love just the same emotion but has higher intensity depending on context? Someone once told me it was "one's hopeful concept" ...

Hi. Well if we are talking about love as in context of soul connection, then there are a few different kinds. I don't feel that they are the same emotion. I love my wife, but sometimes...... very mad

The love I feel toward my family is a completely different love, and it has with it completely different emotional content.

The love I feel toward close friends is yet again different, and it also has with it a completely different set of emotional content.

The love one has for a pet, is very real love, but again it is different to the love shared with other humans because the soul connection is different, and animals communicate in a different way.

I think that love cannot be defined in one all-encompassing definition. It is like the wind, or the stars. It is like the sand on the beach and the waves on the ocean, it is something that is deep within ones soul, and is not existential, but something that eminates like a frequency and causes others to vibrate positively.

It is loud, yet quiet. It is rational, yet also irrational at times. It is beautiful, but only to those that can see it.

I don't know how else to say it.

Love also does hurt one at times because love opens up our soul and exposes it to others without the guards to protect our open soul.

Love is something special. In many different ways, love can express itself in such variety as there are human personalities, or stars in the universe.
