Time was when having done your studies well and there it was,, JOBS of your choice were open, and if you're above on the average line you will have a wholesome carrer. Then this word,, flexibility came on the training seminars,, you should be apt to handle any responsibility,, t'was challenging !!! Then came after machines and modern technology that replaces human for a more profitable performance,,, machines don't get sick, they don't complain,,and don't proclaim any right of whatsover, and more precise,, Comes the unemployment problem, stripping, for some of human's dignity in order to survive, people are unrest, become out-laws, and some principles were wiped out and replaced by ,, mind your own business ,, While cheap supply of labor is overflowing,, parallel line is drawn with regards to over population,, China solved it's problem, was that a good solution that other third world countries should adopt ???? Can you still choose a job at this this time? ot take whatever it's there? ,,, Practical insights/comments are welcome,,

Finding desired employment isn't the way it use to be, here and abroad it's becoming more difficult and more college graduates are having a tough time entering solid stable work at the pay rate that they want... You mentioned machines and modern technology replacing humans: A few years ago, I read that, if all robotics were applied in the workforce, 75% of the entire world's workforce would be without a job.

hi cudd,, howdy ,,here it's the same,, every year end, graduates are celebrating the end, just right now in France,, (of years long study) The celebration have a bitter taste when no jobs are in store for them, pradox,, measures we're intoduced for a later retirement age ,,and the percentage of the working class are absorbing the minimal needs of the unemployed thru taxes and thus giving too the impression that life is better/free money from outsider's point of view,, resulting illegal entries ,,
lol china is in serious trouble . Question is it going to effect Wall street . Maybe your news outlets don't want to bother Europe with bad news at the moment while Greece is stared down .

epirb: you know how if the US looses 2oo million off a few shares and its panic well china has lost three trillion off theirs , that's the scope of china's current problems .
Not so well informed about that loss, just heard that margins/profits were not as important as before,,laborers are starting to claim just compensation, which i think just normal ,, but well globalization/evolution is like that,, all ideas/influences are coming/flocking in not only profits.
Technology at one time augmented our physical ability and now it's replacing our cognitive ability and the jobs left untouched are those either too highly skilled for a computer(yet)or too lowly-skilled to be worth building a robot for. The technology is hollowing out the jobs and careers of the middle classes(as is globalisation now if you're a younger generation in the West)which plays a large role in increasing inequality. And the new industries we're creating today, even from the point of infancy, are set to be run by the same machines.
The times are becoming complex and sophisticated and there's not much that most people can do in the real world. And this is one reason why Capitalism and Democracy are now obsolete and being replaced by Technocracy and something else(which some people refer to as NWO). In America 60% of the workforce actually works and many of them are underemployed in jobs way beneath them at a time of printing money and mass state-sanctioned makework programs. Even with all the debt and non-jobs, even with "living beyond our means", there still aren't enough jobs. We've literally outdone ourselves with the robots.
And maybe other population centers should look at what China has done with theirs.

Obs,, good input,,society are now trying to switch to another activity that could create new jobs,,public services, competing with each other's sector,, buses, airplanes, trains, maritime transports, mostly controlled by the state, banks, tourism, ecology, but the notion of over/wasteful consumption, living beyond one's limit is still very palpable,, thus giving more force to baking/financial institutions the power to have that grip over the weak yet unreasonable unconcious consumers. Well , by reputation,, EUROPE was always branded as thrift spenders,, but i think influence that starts possesing the younger generation about unwise spending is being observed,, well does it help the economy? ,, negative buying power ,, we are heading towards the answer ,,,

That thing called ,,, FINANCIAL MATURITY ,, is still to be acquired ,,,
some types of technology, such as robotics, actually impact those without higher education the greatest
except for those educated to build repair and program them
other types of technology have created new markets that the "between" generation often did not educate themselves to enter so when the bottom fell out in manufacturing they had no where to go. I really think a college degree still helps here in the US. But the people making the $$$ usually have technical degrees or are at least tech savvy, or are experienced managers

that's the problem as those fixing robots will be the only ones who can afford to buy the products produced . What happens when robots fix the broken robots traveling place to place in driverless cars built by robots and fuelled by solar power ? Its not labour that is surplus but its people , they won't be needed . At that point we won't need many robots either I guess .
