Ever take it out on somebody whether on behalf of yourself or an organization you're sworn to? What's the worst punishment you've dished out to someone?

Not forgiving myself for past failures and letting it affect potential future relationships, risking losing the best thing that ever happened to me, finding myself on the receiving end of my own punishment... that sucks sigh

I haven't given someone the satisfaction of hanging on to anger and trying to get back at them. There was nothing in my life that warranted drastic measures on someone.

I prefer to walk away and have a good life. wine

I don't hold childish grudges and I have never sought revenge on anyone.

I let Karma take care of it for me.

I nominated the man who came into our school singing christian songs for the children's TV show 'Get Your Own Back'. He got dumped in the custard, too.

No.
Not on behalf of myself nor for others.
Neither did I ever came across any organization that even vaguely would be worth to be sworn to, let alone dish out vengeance in name of or ordered by a collective self-justification authority.
Milgram experiment comes to mind.

The extreme willingness of adults to go to almost any lengths on the command of an authority...
Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, and without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process. Moreover, even when the destructive effects of their work become patently clear, and they are asked to carry out actions incompatible with fundamental standards of morality, relatively few people have the resources needed to resist authority.

Individuals moral imperatives are one of the first victims of authority.
Being member of a group does not or should not diminish individuals responsibility.

My apologies for not being more responsive to all the replies! Great reading. I've heard before about karma, it just takes too long and not very satisfying to me. Plus who's to say the karma you witness isn't for something else they've done? I like to personalize things. grin
