Why would they put fake city or town on their profile. Even perhaps fake state.
"california, California" or "texas, New York" Those are actual taken from profiles. Likely scammers or cons as I call them.
Even if they are real ladies, then why they do that for? they need to be honest. Normally if a lady do that, and say, if she wrote me and I review her profile and I see that, I would reject because it is not real.
Is it because they want to relocate to THAT state or country? Or for their own safety. Well, for those two, those are no excuses.
I am picky, OK? Even grammar incorrectly when they do not capitalize their city. "albany, New York" instead of "Albany, New York." It clearly showed me it is the same when I open profile, I see too many "i" instead of "I" and part of it seemly to write different. Clearly they are scams too.
If they said it is because of them using cell phones making profile or writing, no excuse. It is easier to write on the computer by sitting down and write with your laptop or desktop.
its usually cause they come from countries that are not accepted by CS.
often Russia but plenty of others too.
you can smell them a mile away, the letters they write are always the same and you recognise the pictures easily.
to be honest it might not even be a scam. it might be real women with real profiles wanting to escape their (not accepted) country. i never followed up on any of the women writing cause i thought it was too much of a hassle.
mollybaby: And sometimes, just sometimes, they may be from one place and currently in another, so they put in both. PS. Not taking away from your valid point on spelling, but not everybody has a laptop or desktop.
Oh really? Then I do not see they explained that they are in two places.. I never ever saw a profile that says so.
I have a gut feeling it is, sometimes, because they prefer to live there rather than where they are living now? Say maybe one wants to live in Texas would put Texas or rather texas before their state or country.
LoveRanger52: Because no one wants anyone showing up on their doorstep...especially if you live in a small town....That's why
True. But how they would know where that person lives? This is a dating site that does not reveal the street.
There are ways you can find a person of course. I know a few ways.. but I do not want to bother with that unless I really smell a scammer then I investigate further and make report. I have done a few on here and other sites.. I think that is why scammers had me banned on other sites. I am furious about that.

It should be noted that for those whose first language was not English, capitalization and grammatical errors can and do occur. It should also be noted that for those whose first language was English, capitalization and grammatical errors do occur. Take your thread as an example. There are several instances of the omission of an article, incorrect use of a noun when you should have used an adverb, incorrect sentence structure (example - then why they do that for,...). The next sentence after that statement you forgot to capitalize "they". The next sentence you use "do" instead of "does."
Judge a person by their intent, not their ability to utilize a language which may or may not be their "mother" tongue. I am just saying.
