I'm mainly hoping to meet new friends from around the world here - to chat and email with. I'm not really looking for anything serious; I got out of a bad relationship last year and need time to heal before I even think about more.

Thanks. Yeah I realize this is just the internet and all, and expecting true friendship from behind a computer screen is a bit foolhardy. Nothing takes the place of meeting people in real life and discovering what things you both have in common. I've meet so many many people on the internet over the years, and I really did try to get to know the person I was talking to, but, they don't usually last for very long sadly because they are not based on reality and quality.
