If the developed people can not end poverty what is the hope for underdeveloped countries? Why there is poverty?
Poverty of the olden days comes from an age of poverty where there isn't enough to go around. The developing world is like this.
Poverty in an age of plenty(poverty of advanced nations)comes from the ever-increasing number of people who for whatever reason can't really do anything in the modern world. As the ladder becomes more advanced and lofty it is more difficult to get your foot on the bottom rung.

Tramps in England would find a job in Mexico long before they would here.
And there's an contradiction in the developed world. Through wealth we become more liberal, individualistic and "hands-off", however, it's never been more important for each person to have a plan and a guide because the world is that much more complicated. Through wealth we become listless and rudderless and yet sustaining this wealth requires us to be neither of these things. Anarchic liberality is better in Mexico because it's economy is much less professional and structured.

Trump popularity is an example of this. He is that anti-rudderless and anti-listless "can do" leader who, unlike most politicians, speaks to the serfs. Many of the people who are not advanced enough for the developed world are drawn to Trump's feudalism where their peasantry has a place.

toranoga: What exactly is the definition of poverty? Is the definition the same in all countries, or does it vary from country to country? Is it based on financial wealth, or degree of comfort? Who determines whether or not a person is living in poverty?
The definition of poverty for me is when you have to make redundant , your butler & chambermaid & employ a middle of the road cleaner .. I often envy you poor people for having the ability & patience to be self sufficient domestically.

pat8lanips: I think it was actually Mussolini that made the trains run on time. At what cost I couldn't say but he's not in charge now so its a moot point.

truheart1941: oh really....how much do you pay...???????
If you have vast experience , the benefits could be substantial but if you've just come out of a YTS programme , then the only benefits a are sleeping with the chambermaids .
