MikeD12: I have a lot of respect for Obama and his family and what he has tried to do for working people in the states.
BUT - I hope when he visits us, someone will have the guts to tell him to butt out of our EU voting issues on the grounds that as our laws are not made by us and he has not tried to live here as a family on a limited budget of GBP 400 per week (20,000 PA) or that of a pensioner with less than GBP 200 per week anywhere in the South of England for a month.

He is therefore totally ignorant of all the facts as to why having read and hears what others outside the EU say first hand who are financially better off than we are here most of us say that we must get OUT now.

wow Once again I agree with you.
I too liked Obama and all he has tried to do for america, but our affairs are ours, and we should not always be a yes man to America.

TheRedSquirrel87: Tricky one. Decades ago I'd say no regarding the EU seeing it as a spur of globalisation. In future times Europe may become a hedge against globalism as an alternative to one-world economic rule. An extremely likely alternative to coffee-coloured borg planet is to split the world into cultural similar regional blocks. Regionalism in place of globalism.

Perhaps it's not such a good idea to limit trade with our cultural kin and rough economic equals in order to expand trade with a world that does not think like we do and is more desperate and competitive because it treats its workers like crap.

I would like to remain in Europe so long as Europe sets the interest of itself above the interests of other lands. I'm much more liberal-sceptic than I am eurosceptic. And tbh the refugees, with their raping and pillaging, have made me take a kinder view of the pole who fits a cheap kitchen. Compared to Arabs and the(for example)Vietnamese who infest our prison system, eastern Europeans are practically part of the family.
yes, yes,I always thought u were from Eastern Europe! Not nice for u to stereotype Arabs ,Vietnamese etc.U seem to put your self as judge and jury forgetting some other people are judging u.Wont it be lovely if discussions on the forum can be conducted by not putting others down. Then cloudy and brittle minds will not spoil clear thinking.Dont u ever get fed up degrading people?

I voted no in 75 and think that we should have stayed out then and that we would have been better out then and certainly now. Obama wants us in as his doorway into Europe. Merkel wants us in to bank the deal and to support the flagging Euro. De Gaulle NEVER wanted us in and we should have stayed with the Commonwealth.
In view of the recent events in Brussels all the Tories are saying that we would be weaker if we left but who remembers the 30 years that we were constantly under terrorist threat from Messers McGuinness and Adams and their crowd?

Agree with you, I must admit I thought it a good idea at first but it involves soooo much more now its lost its way for sure.
We can make it on our own.

As much as I believe we will be better out of the EU, I firmly believe that the government will use it as an excuse to increase taxes, interest rates and more cutbacks if we do come out. It'll be like when Tony Blair found out we liked being greener. He used it as an excuse to introduce more stealth taxes!

In Wales our Uni students only pay a 3rd of their uni fees, why they spend all that time in uni oly to serve burger or claim benefits, I spent 20 in eduacation and have seen so many students do a multitude of course so they did not have to work, is that right for this country

That is what the IN mob want all of us Proles to think - The Government are deliberately suppressing the truth about the facts as to how much we would need to pay for the single market trade agreement like Norway and Switzerland have been doing and other countries outside it which is the most important fact that matters to us all.

The fishermen of Aberdeen and other Scotland ports brought that up on a BBC programme discussion about how they felt and their views were silenced. Even Robert Peston, the BBC's so called financial expert delved into it and had a warning to keep the lid on what he discovered and what he says on TV is therefore censored. -- The only people the far Right and Pro EU mob cannot Gag or Censor are Nigel Farage, BOJO (Boris) and more than a few businesses who have said OUT

The IN vote rigging propaganda and dis-information against the OUT vote is as obvious now as it was in the 70's. It still comes from the insidious powerbase of right wing wealthy parasites, mostly Tory, with vested interests as shareholders in the German and French owned Energy and Rail business based here in the UK since Thatchers de-nationalistion.
They have off shore bank accounts on which they can avoid paying taxes due to us when the people have no such ability and are supported by Sham-Moron and his Tory Elite so the whole bloody thing stinks.

In response to: should we stay in EU, Cameron is trying but it will not be a definite nor fully what he wants.

Too much scaremongering about how it would be if we came out. There is a big wide world to trade in. We could set our own prices and names for goods etc.

OUT,OUT,OUT, -- I voted in 1975 for a Common Trading Area, NOT Big Brother European style, we were promised but never given a vote on the Maastricht Treaty and its implications and lied to by those politicians. THEY will NEVER give us another opportunity to regain control of OUR Country, our laws and our own identity and borders.

Do not lose this wonderful chance to tell those in power just how deeply we love this country as it was and can be again.

Vote OUT,OUT,OUT, and put us on the road to salvation!!!!!!

In a word . . . NOOOO !!

We were dking just fab before we ever joined the E.U, and have been going downhill ever since! Although we'd like to come out now, we cant, because its all fixed via corruption with the powrrs that be who are part of running "The Globallist Agendas"!! So please do some homework and see what that is to get the picture!!
So now we all have lovely plays and debates on this issue but sorry the outcome is already fixed come what may!!
