Why do people write their political views on CS you ask? Obviously because the option is there to do so.
The world is full of politics and will always be whether it's online or offline.
From what I understand anyone here or someone who first joins according to the site owner and mods have their given right to post pretty much what they choose to post.
Last time I looked it was a free site and the options are free to use.
A place is obviously what people make it whether it's a website such as CS or anywhere else.
