Draegoneer: Better choices and work for better rewards.

They don't seem to press or teach that idea any more.
I've never been a fan of Roseanne. She did always have a certain candor I could partially appreciate.

In spite of media. She's still going to be okay I think.

In light of everything over the past nine and half years, I'm still wondering if my country will. Gosh darn, it's going to take a long time to recover the first eight of the nine and a half or so.

Draegoneer: No Rachie. Try being a citizens in China or maybe some of the Arabic nations. There are others.

Nations have their standards. Kneeling is a form of humility. Even the proposed groom kneeling before what he would like to be his chosen bride, is humbling himself to her.

The sign of respect is more than just the stand and hand over the heart. It's a show of pride, strength, and love. An appreciation. A willingness to defend, protect, and stand tall.
So being humble is a bad thing to you to give those that died for your rights?

Ok, but I still am waiting for how kneeling is disrespectful? You have talked about why you stand. I understood it, but I am still waiting for someone to explain why kneeling is disrespectful because I can't see it.

Mercedes_00: It's not disrespectful to kneel whilst the anthem is being played it's disrespectful if you sit whilst the anthem is being played.
Perhaps in Australia it's not considered disrespect to your flag if you kneel when your national anthem is played but the NFL players are in America. All Americans learn at an early age that when the Star Spangled Banner is played we cross our hand over our heart and STAND.

These players are on a crusade to show that they don't like the way they are treated.. They think that kneeling when the anthem is played is going to help them be treated better shows how stupid they really are.

If they used that energy in a way to promote better treatment perhaps they could make a difference.
