mykingdomforanam: The only things worth talking about are religion and politics.
When you twist the facts, claim you answer questions that you didn't, engage in ad hominem and other reasoning fallacies, your threads are worth less than the price of the ink you don't use.
Kaylana04: Theway, I've been going over your words and discussing them as part of my Logic lessons with my students.
As other articulate posters have commented, your use of the English language is quite lacking in style.
First off, your "question" is not actually written as a question. And even when you reworded it, it was still not in proper English.
And the form that it is written, while you may be implying a "question", reveals that it is a statement: "You agree with..."
Knowing this is an assumption and a fallacy, you chose to hide behind the implied "questioning".
Because I agree with one side does not necessarily mean that I agree or disagree with the opposition. It is quite likely that I disagree with both - but, not necessarily so!
And this brings me to the use of the words "a lot" in regards to the number of comments and threads that I have written.
This is call the "Idol of the Marketplace". Just as the words "early", "late", "enough", etc., can be defined in different ways by different people, the use of "a lot" was an attempt to support the argument that I was obligated to respond to your implied "question".
I didn't fall for it.
And your final sentence in the quote above, had me laughing out loud!! I will gladly admit that there is no need to lie or to use emotional blackmail!! The Truth is the best route to follow!
Written on June 26.... I am sure that most people would understand my position on the "question" you are asking. I trust that it is clear to you as well.
Theway100: Some people on here say I shouldn't write about religion or politics or history.
I like and enjoy reading about history, religion and politics. It interests me and I enjoy learning and finding out new things. I like knowing and reading about historical events and how it's connected to the beliefs and cultures of that time.
I have read a lot religious texts from all religions from all over the world and from different periods in history. Why? Because it interests me and I like reading about it.
Maybe it's hard to believe for some people or even most people...but this is fun for me.
I like information. I want to know and find out how things work and why they are the way there.
I like history... Knowing what happened. Investigating or researching why it happened. What caused it to happen? Did the religion or culture or economical situation or something or anything else influence it? If it did...why ? Would things have been different if..... Again...I enjoy all that and it's fun for me.
When people comment on these topics I find it interesting to read what they say about it. Especially when they are things I did not know. I really like it when people comment on the topic(s) with new and original insights.
What I don't like... Is when certain people say I shouldn't write about it. ????? It's a free world. There is something called free speech. If you don't like it don't read it. If you don't like it don't comment on it.
I don't go around the blog or forum searching for topics I don't like and then commenting on it. Yes, it sounds ridiculous but some people actually do this.
I also don't like it when people refuse to read the information I provided but still comment on the topic without knowing anything about it. Especially if they come up with their own "truth" even though all the FACTS and EVIDENCE is right there.
Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if it's based on fairytales.
When I would say how beautiful and majestic the Earth looks from space. How it makes you feel part of the universe, part of something "more". You can feel and sense you are part of something so eternal but you can't truly comprehend it. I would like to read other people's thoughts, views and emotions about it.
NOT....
The earth is flat... photos are fake!
This topic sucks ! Go away !
I don't mind different opinions but.... too much is too much. Because it's so far from the truth or/and plain stupidity.
It ruins what I find fun and interesting. It ruins the mood. It ruins the possibility of sharing thoughts, ideas and emotions.
After reading all his boring STUFF to be polite, and by choice & A.N Other with interests in History of various subjects for my work & Interests, I am left Dazed & wondering who he refers to as "Conran" is ? yawn:

Populism means the end of the debate and a hatred for academic interests.
You wonder why they never answer a straight question when there’s a simple explanation. Everything people say is ammunition, populism is a triumph of the will not an accuracy in fact. Populism is when the people out-politics the politicians, it’s for the type of snake oil salesmen who’d make a career politician blush. You have to listen to some of the conspiracy theories they come up with, the reason they see the world as twisted and dishonest beyond belief is because they are.
