Friskyone: Well most are personal but most recently I prayed for my daughter to find a good job. She had a job that paid very well but she was very unhappy there for so many years. She had become accustomed to a nice lifestyle and thats why she stayed. It got to the point that she hated it so much that she wanted to quit on the spot with no notice. So I began praying for God to open another door for her. She was offered a job that was just a little less than the one she had. Then the job fell through. Something on the company's side, shortly after that, she found a job paying better than the original one and the one she was offered. He closed one door and opened another. Now she is doing so much better. Had the offered job worked out she wouldn't have landed her dream job.
I understand why people gravitate towards religion. I just don't get it though. I lose faith every time I see a Children with cancer ad, or see the extravagant lives of these televangelist charlatans. You have any idea how deplorable a person you have to be, to take advantage of average hard working folk, to enrich yourself personally through religion? Lets just say that if there was a hell, there's a special room under all the others, specifically built for those lowlives.

Trust that in time these charlatans will be dealt with. The Lord gave the world to us people. We were given free will to do with this world as we wanted to. So far we have made a big mess of it It is only through prayer that things change..............
PeKaatje: religion is all about greed, and they're willing to kill and plunder for that so called religion.
Greed is a bad word. It is profit maximization. Religion is the only venture which you can achieve infinite return on investment. Return = infinity, investment = zilt or zero Return on investment = return / investment = infinity / zero = infinity.
Moon Sun Myung invented Unification Church and accumulated net worth more than Bill Gates. J Smith refurbished existing religion and built gigantic financial empire and one of his disciple is looking at the seat as POTUS. Ask B Graham Jr how much $ he inherited from his senior. Remember the Indian Guru who had 50 personal Rolls Royce. The list goes on and on.
What were their initial investment? Nada.
I regret I didn't get into that venture. You can not go against the tide. Follow the flow and take advantage of it.
