A few pubs in the Netherlands went bankrupt during the lockdown. But there are area's in cities where there are very much pubs in a small area, some of them are empty most of the time. It's a way to get rid of criminal money. And in many pubs there's illegal harddrugs dealing, mostly coke.
So, if in the big cities pubs disappear, I don't care, if it is in a small village, it's different, often there's one pub for the whole village. In my village the pubs organize a yearly fishing match, a pub quiz, condoleances when someone dies, there are billiardsclubs 4 evenings a week and when there's formule1 racing or footballmatches they have a big screen where people come to look. Also often card evenings like poker etc.
For a village a pub is more than a social place to meet with others.
Sacrifice a virgin Tuesday and dress like your mother Friday
I like to go to a place where one night it is comedy and another bands....and jam sessions....haven.t been back since the crisis.....they tried to open up and had to shut down cause of someone messing up the place with covid....shall still wait to go back....
ChesneyChrist: It’s good for the community to be brought together in a bonding session built from our own foolishness. Equals peoples. And of course you’ll have to go that step further to admit a drinking problem with a bloke sitting next you. One thing worse than drinking is drinking alone.
You can't help people that are in denial.............I'm a smoker, I don't want to give up at this moment in time. That's my choice but I'm not going out there risking other peoples lives for my enjoyment..... I use my vapour cigg when I'm out, zero nicotine..............
