How has lonliness affected you, or aren't you saying, are you ashamed of lonliness.

Or can you share???

What about socialising with a coconut?

The film "cast away" comes to mind.

I have never felt lonely as I enjoy my own company.

Interestingly enough my strongest memories of feelings of extreme loneliness were when I was married and had a full time job... blues

Since living by myself (10 years) I feel a bit lonely every now and then but not as deeply as I used to when I didn't live by myself. I feel at ease with my own company and love having my own space. I'm still a social person, I like meeting up with people but also very happy by myself angel

The lack of socialising and physical contact is certainly doing this to us now but...

Not necessary loneliness.

I’ve only felt really lonely once in my life I was away from home working and didn’t know anyone. I got home every few weeks then would cry the whole journey back after leaving family and friends. One day I just had enough packed up everything quit the job and went home. I love my own company so was very surprised I felt like this.

I've read that loneliness affects people more if they're not content with or dislike themselves.
I guess it stands to reason. I mean who would want to spend so much time with someone they dislike?

dunno

I'm with you on that one D. I have lots of pals ,day visitors and stop over visitors but I'm always appreciative of the quiet when they've gone.

I love my home and garden and the peace that it provideshandshake

Well..for me, I haven't had any visitors for some time now.
They're all confining into their homes with fear at the moment.

Very quiet here now and, to tell you the truth, I'm enjoying the animals' company better. smile

How could a big titted woman breath down your neck if you're standing behind her in a queue?

confused

You sure it's the other people doing the 'breathing down someone else's neck' thing you say you don't like? laugh
