A few months ago I joined many dating sites - paid ones and free ones - just for fun - to see what they looked like (I hadn't been a member for a long time) and it's more or less the same everywhere.

I like British humour and it's very popular here, too. I read an interview with an English comedian that was here last year. He said that he always liked to come to Serbia because the whole hall laughed at his jokes, while in some countries - he would keep telling jokes the whole evening and wouldn't even get a smile!
Some humour is universal, but some is very specific and only people belonging to a certain country or similar cultures seem to understand it.
Laughing at jokes and being funny yourself are - two different things. I don't belong to the funny ones and trying to be funny is a real effort for me.

You would get along well with a friend of mine. She travelled the world and in each city/country she had some romantic affair. Sometimes she met men online prior to travelling, sometimes offline - in the city/country where she stayed and she had numerous adventures. However, she had a great job, earned a lot of money and - apart from that - inherited quite a lot, so she could indulge in those adventures carefreely.
I think that if people are adventurous and can afford it - then international dating sites are really perfect for them.
