“Do what i day , not what I do”, seem to be the message coming from our government. Yesterday , our PM was spotted cycling 7 miles from his residency, yet a couple of days earlier , 2 female friends were fined when one visited a friend in an open air environment. No rules were broken , as the ladies in question kept a 2metre distance & the coffee was a home brew . Is it one rule for one & one for the other?

It was ever thus. What i don't get is, it's not a law, it's just a guideline, and who is to know what is local, in a place so vast.

My point is that the law is so unclear with these restrictions, it’s inevitable that many people may be ignorant of the ever changing rules . What do you class as essential?

Yes , it's ever changing so hard to keep up Also as we know from before , ministers seem to think they are above the rules, and flaunt them without accountability. Differences in what is essential too, it varies from person to person

Seems a bit harsh to fine 2 women who appeared to obeying the law, yet there is no ruling on mask wearing in shops etc. Time that was made a legal requirement unless said person has an exemption certificate.
We are all at risk from of a killer virus and I do wish people would listen and take responsibility, if not for themselves ,at least consider others. J.M.O.

Why are you surprised John , we are programed from the earliest childhood ,on how to decode life, not to trust our eyes, ears and common sense, but what the puppet masters tells us
for example England - you say and hear it as Inglend -Physics - Fiziks etc etc no logic in using a chainsaw to slice bread if you have a knife, but thats what our jailers teach us- on how to perceive ,decode ... and we will fight to the death against those who have opened their eyes ,and saw that the emperor is naked

Was Boris meeting someone? No Was Boris cycling in a group? No So he broke no rules or guidelines, so why the comment?
the rules are simple to follow, only some are trying to make them complicated, especially the police who should know better.
Stay away from other people Wear a mask when near other people, especially when shopping Wash hands frequently and use hand cleanser when washing is not available
How hard is that to follow?
If we ALL follow the above the virus infection rate will drop and so too will hospitalisation and deaths.

Building work Is deemed as essential, Yet electrical stores are not . What if your toilet breaks , or any other kitchen appliance?

My local greengrocer doesn’t wear a mask and when I asked why , she pointed to a badge that said she’s exempt. She’s not only putting herself at risk but every customer that enters her shop . I won’t be shopping their again .

Can't say that I ever felt programmed as a child ? I'm a free thinking adult and certainly not imprisoned.

We live in fear , not because of the pandemic, but because they’ve taken our rights as humans away.. I’m never gonna go to an illegal rave, nor am I gonna meet up with a stranger , but I’ve been stopped 3 times in the last 2 weeks on my way to work because I work outside of my jurisdiction.

We can only travel 5 KM , (with a few exceptions) there is a fine if we walk or drive outside that limit

I agree the rules are quite clear in Gov.Uk on the internet, surely they are mostly common sense, stay away from this virus, it can kill you or someone you pass it on too,
If you break the law you will be fined.
It is time to enact more stringent rules and stop spoon-feeding people who take the government's money to rescue them and then bite the hand that gives to you.
To give us all a better chance these antisocial people should not be given any encouragement.

Where i shop, some of them wear masks, some have them hanging from one ear. I protect myself in that case, and i do what i have to do to protect others .

The rules state that you should stay at home unless you have to work, or essential shopping & exercise. Why did Boris have to travel 7 miles from his residence, when there are many local parks available . The ladies in questions broke no rules , according to the government rules . The ladies in question live alone & are allowed to meet up in an open air environment ,as part of their bubble .
