galrads: interesting, Ali, do you believe Jesus Christ is just another Prophet and not God in the Flesh?
of course , Jesus Christ was a messenger of God

galrads: Err, i think you are kidding me with these questions, the Bible I mention (having 27 new testament books and 39 old testament books) is the same common Bible among followers of Jesus Christ and so called Christian religions, excluding Jehovah’s Witnesses groups. Jews, of course, not believing Jesus is their Savior, only have a Bible containing the old testament.

Daylight hours are getting shorter here.
Not kidding ... most Christians have only read the new testament with the 4 gospels of Matthew, Luke etc...

I went to Sunday school a long time ago as a child ... the names of the writings are all different in French. Can't say I remember much!
What struck you the most between the old and new testament books?

Hey, I am no authority on this subject matter but if we look closely, the entire Bible is really about the Word of God made flesh in Jesus Christ freed that people from being under the condemnation of the old testament law.

Maybe another way to put it, God Jehovah/Jahweh/I am etc redeems people in the new testament through His grace (his flesh death and resurrection) instead of people being under the law and making sacrifices for sins committed in the old Testament.

Note: “It wasn't until 1524 when Italian Gian Giorgio Trissino, an Italian Renaissance grammarian, was the father of the letter J“

In the course of most any normal life you will defy the will of some alleged deity somewhere at some time.

You can disagree all you want, but that don't make you right. However, no one actually knows what God's opinion is. All we have, is what people have said or written. Nothing more. Most people have no clue of how God thinks about anything. The most scholarly on God's word, have below average level instincts on what God thinks. Typically, listening to regular people will probably get you closer to the truth, than listening to the scholars.
