I think I'm going to exercise my right to intelligent disobedience!!

I didn't watch the video because your first sentence pretty much described to me what Intelligent Disobedience is............Manchurian Candidate. That was the first thing the came to my mind.

Those skills are transferrable. Guide dogs use them, co-pilots use them, amongst others...
What if those skills are now being transferred to doctors and professionals who feel like obeying orders means they have to violate their hypocritic oath? What if instead of being conspiracy theorists when they set up alternative information channels, they are carrying out Intelligent Disobedience?
The video is long but is well worth watching then worth engaging into a bit of lateral thinking...

I know you said 'intelligent disobedience', but so much of it isn't intelligent and has an agenda other than protecting others. How are average citizens supposed to distinguish between the two? Especially as there is a culture of 'doctor knows best'.
The problem with 'alternative informaton channels' is that they're not peer reviewed like a journal paper is and as such are unregulated.

I don't think so but then I only read the resume of the Manchurian Candidate ... I don't think the first sentence also showed you how it had been successfully adopted in other areas of command like passenger planes were there were so many disasters due to human error and how intelligent disobedience was encouraged in order to keep passengers safe... one of the reasons we can fly more safely today ... ------ This thread is Archived ------
