Anyway according to my theory the suffering of the world will increase for the next 35 years until such a time that the average 50 year old knows what really hard is. Then things will start to get better, then you'll have people who know what they're doing. It is when nobody can remember the pre 2008 world and all we've ever known is a life getting harder, then at last you'll have the people who can do things in the real world.

Admittedly I could be biased to see the first worlders and weak and decadent because I was that poor kid who nevertheless went to a good school. Always had the concern that remainer kids won't get a proper job and the benefit class won't get any job. Although I don't see the benefit class a free from suffering it's the type of suffering, eating so much that your foot rots away is not like climbing a mountain. It's not a triumph of the human spirit to suffer in this way where you self-harm to bring meaning to a meaningless life. To pick a fight with yourself and then lose it is the benefit class, to cry over nothing at all is the educated class.. but they're both going to get owned by the Chinese. Owned by people who can do things in the real world.. the failure of the sanctions against Russia should be taken as a massive wake up call for anybody in the west. What we bring to the world really is that worthless, all they have to do is call our bluff.

serene56: I completely agree with you Miss.

I join you in your cancer battle as I underwent invasive melanoma surgery in 2020 and attended a skin cancer clinic for 3 monthly skin checks for twelve months afterwards, which was then reduced to six monthly checks.
My last one revealed a concerning mole which I had excised on Wednesday; it's a little uncomfortable at present but I'm feeling optimistic that pathology results will show a good result.

I personally find Pedro's threads a little flippant, probably drawing from internet searches while under the influence of alcohol rather than life experience.

While he has shared his mental health journey on here, which is to be applauded, I often find his threads self indulgent and self pitying.

Wishing you all the very best for your own journey Miss and send you hugs and positivity
I hope the excised mole is benign. I have had two melanomas myself. One on my back 23 years ago, and one on my face 2 years ago. My face is nice and scarred for life now.

I have been to the dermatologist every six months since my first melanoma. It's a pain but you have to do it. Best of luck to youthumbs up

Hi Ken and thank you hug

I arrived in this country over sixty years ago, a British child with fair skin.

I frolicked on the beach after school and onward through my teenage years, we would slather ourselves in coconut oil and basically fry in the sun, but boy, did we have a great tan help

Absolutely no education around sun protection so many of us are paying the price now.

In fact, my understanding is that our northern neighbours in the tropical state of Queensland record more deaths from skin cancer than road accidents.

Thank you for sharing your journey with me, it's much appreciated hug

When you go through a lot of pain, you become more empathetic; you don't want others to go through what you've been through and you don't wish the pain you experienced upon anyone. It teaches you how to be kind and to never underestimate someone else's pain just because you haven't gone through it yourself.

Pain is a growing time in our lives, doesn't matter what the situation is, can't stop the pain but one can learn from that particular pain which sends us to growth, sometimes it's sad though.

If we go through many obstacles in life it make us stronger and better person we could be.In every struggle we face we can learn many lesson/things in life. We can change for the better and be kind to others but don't let someone to step or judge you.In every situation put love and kind to others coz you don't know the pains they endured.

Thank you for sharing too. I was similar as you, a child of Irish decent in America, with very pale skin. Summers were going to the local pool every day and baking in the sun.

It's amazing the number of deaths in Queensland from skin cancer, are more than auto deaths. We must be the first generation paying the price for it. I hope everyone will learn to use skin protection. Skin cancer can happen to anybody. It's the deadliest for of all cancers.
